VPNWV Setup Guide

Account → Plan → Subscription → Client → Connection test. Follow these steps on your device, then address any app-specific access needs.

Interfaces vary across platforms and client versions. This guide refers to features such as “subscription,” “configuration,” and “import”; the actual button names and locations depend on your dashboard and client version. If you cannot find an exact match, look for a similar feature instead of repeatedly searching for the same label.

// ACCOUNT

Create an account

Open the account creation page in the VPNWV user dashboard and enter the username and password you want to use. VPNWV does not require an email address; a username and password are all you need to create an account. Choose a username you can recognize, and do not reuse a password from another website. Before submitting, check your entries carefully, especially for input-method errors, capitalization, or spaces added when copying and pasting. This helps avoid login problems later.

Once your account is created, open the user dashboard and check your account overview. If you are taken to the login page, sign in with the username and password you just saved. If your browser is already signed in, continue to the next step. Store your account details in a trusted password manager rather than relying only on browser autofill on one device. You will need the same credentials to access the dashboard from another device.

Creating an account and connecting to the network are separate steps. The user dashboard handles plans, subscriptions, and client downloads; the client establishes the connection on your device. You do not need a direct installer link or someone else’s configuration. First, make sure the dashboard opens and recognizes your account. Then choose a plan that suits your usage so you know where to find your subscription later.

If your username is unavailable, choose another one as prompted and try again. If you already have an account, use the login link in the navigation instead of creating another. For account access issues, see the account and subscription help on the support page. Never post your password publicly or include it in screenshots. When troubleshooting, share only the information needed to explain the issue.

// PLAN

Choose a plan and pay

In the logged-in dashboard, open the Plans section. Compare monthly subscriptions with data packages, then review the data allowances. Monthly plans are ¥9.9/month for 60GB, ¥18/month for 250GB, and ¥28/month for 500GB. Data resets monthly on the activation date. If you regularly use websites, work apps, or streaming services, choose a tier based on your usage. VPNWV supports unlimited devices, but all devices share the same account data allowance.

If your usage is occasional, consider a data package: ¥158 for 300GB, ¥358 for 1000GB, or ¥658 for 3000GB. Data is consumed as you use it and never expires. The difference is how data is used, not which client features are available. Monthly subscriptions suit regular, month-by-month use; data packages suit less predictable usage. Consider whether activities such as streaming or file transfers may use significantly more data.

After choosing a plan, create an order as prompted in the dashboard. Before paying, check the plan name, price, data allowance, and billing terms, then choose Alipay, WeChat Pay, or USDT. Keep the order page open while completing payment, then return to the dashboard to check the order status and account overview. A payment confirmation does not necessarily refresh the page already open in your browser. If the plan is not showing yet, refresh the status before considering another payment.

Get your subscription only after confirming that your plan is active. If you upgrade partway through a plan, the price difference is converted into remaining days; review the result shown in the dashboard before proceeding. VPNWV offers a 7-day no-questions-asked refund. See the Terms of Service for details. This guide covers the setup steps. For full pricing comparisons, data reset details, and payment FAQs, visit the Plans page.

// SUBSCRIPTION

Get your subscription and client

Return to your account overview and check your current plan and remaining data, then find the subscription option. The subscription link lets your client fetch its configuration; it is not a webpage to visit in your browser. Use the dashboard’s copy option to avoid missing characters. If the dashboard offers one-click import for your client, use it. Otherwise, copy the link and import it manually in the next step.

Next, open the client downloads section in the dashboard and choose the VPNWV client for your device. Windows, macOS, iOS, Android, and Linux are supported; follow the download instructions shown in the dashboard. Get both the client and subscription from the logged-in user dashboard. This page does not provide direct installer links. If the download page asks you to confirm your plan, return to the overview, check that the plan is active, and follow the on-screen instructions.

Treat your subscription link as private account information. Do not post it in public forums or share screenshots that show the complete link. When copying, check for extra spaces or line breaks. Do not edit the link parameters after pasting. Clients generally need the full link to fetch the configuration; missing any part can cause an error or prevent updates.

One-click import from the dashboard may prompt your browser to open an app. Make sure the right client is installed before allowing it to open. If the browser does not launch the app, do not keep clicking the same link. Instead, open the client and use “Import from link” to do the same thing. For help with installation, links that do not open, or subscription updates, see the support page. You do not need to adjust advanced network settings at this stage.

// CLIENTS

Import by platform

Install the VPNWV client for your platform from the dashboard, then import the subscription you just retrieved. The instructions below refer to common feature names; button labels may differ between versions. Import is complete only when the configuration is saved and updated and the server list is visible—not just when the link has been pasted. Keep the connection switch off until you have checked the configuration.

Windows: Add a subscription in the configuration section

Install and open the Windows desktop client provided in the dashboard. Look for an add option in the “Configuration” or “Subscription” section of the main screen, choose import from link, and paste the full subscription link copied from the dashboard. If there is a name field, enter an easy-to-recognize label such as “VPNWV,” then save and update.

After updating, check that the region and server list appears, then select the configuration you just imported. Do not paste a regular webpage URL into the subscription field. When you are ready to connect, enable the system proxy or the appropriate connection mode as directed by the client. If system network access is requested, make sure the prompt is for the client you just installed. Test with a browser first; there is no need to change proxy settings in multiple apps at once.

macOS: Import and confirm system permissions

Open the macOS desktop client provided in the dashboard and look for “Configuration,” “Subscription,” or a similar management section. Add the subscription link, save it, and update. Confirm that the server list appears. If you use one-click import from the dashboard, check that the configuration was actually saved after the app opens; the client window appearing does not by itself mean the import is complete.

The first time you connect, macOS may ask you to authorize a network extension, VPN configuration, or related network feature, depending on the client. Follow the system prompts to grant permission, then return to the client and check its status. Without the required permissions, the client may not connect even if the server list has imported successfully. Grant only the permissions requested by the client; you do not need to change other Apple service settings to import a subscription.

Android: Save the subscription and allow the VPN connection

Open the Android client provided in the dashboard and go to the subscription or configuration list. Choose Add, Import, or Import from link. Paste the subscription, save it, and update. Check that the configuration name and server list are visible, then select the configuration. If the dashboard’s import button does not open the app, paste the link into the client manually. Do not look for configuration files from unverified sources.

When you connect, Android usually displays a prompt to authorize the VPN connection. Check the app name, allow the connection, and return to the client to confirm its status. The connection icon in the status bar only indicates that a network tunnel is active; you still need to test the service you want to use. If the connection works at first but drops when the app moves to the background, check whether your system restricts background activity. Do not change multiple battery and network settings before confirming that the connection works.

iOS: Import the configuration and confirm system prompts

Use the iOS download option in the dashboard and follow its instructions to get a compatible client. Open the app, choose the option to add a configuration or subscription by link, paste the full subscription, and save it. If the dashboard supports direct import, allow the browser to open the client and then check that the import succeeded. Getting the client and adding your account subscription are separate steps; after installation, you still need to add your own configuration.

Update the subscription, select a configuration and server, then connect. If iOS asks to add a VPN configuration, follow the system prompts to confirm and return to the app to check the connection status. If you already have other network configurations, make sure the imported configuration is the one currently in use to avoid switching between connections in different apps. Then follow the next step to test access.

Linux users can also get the client and subscription from the dashboard, then add the configuration as directed by the client. For command-line environments, IDE plugins, or app-specific proxy settings, first establish a basic connection, then see the developer scenarios in the AI access guide.

// VERIFY

Connect and verify

Select the imported configuration in the client, choose a region from the server list, and connect. Start with the region required by your target service, then compare available servers rather than relying on geographic distance alone. Hong Kong, Japan, the United States, Singapore, and Canada are common regions; check the client for the current list and server types. For an explanation of IEPL, relay, and direct routes, see the server list and route selection guide.

First, check that the client shows a connected status and that your public IP location matches the selected server. Then open the website or app you want to use, reload it, and test its actual features. If needed, use a trusted IP lookup page to check your network location against the selected server. The client status, change in public IP location, and access to the target service are related but separate checks; none alone confirms that setup is complete.

When testing a website, do not rely on an old, cached page. To test AI tools, check that requests and responses work after signing in, not just that the homepage loads. For streaming services, test playback of specific content rather than checking only whether its cover image appears. A network connection does not change your account eligibility, paid access, or the service’s rules. If a site asks you to sign in or reports an account issue, follow that service’s own instructions.

If you still cannot access a service after connecting, disconnect the client and check that your regular network can open familiar websites. Then reconnect and check that your plan is active, data remains available, the subscription updated successfully, and the client has the system permissions it needs. Change one thing at a time and test again. Switching servers, reinstalling the client, and changing system settings all at once makes it harder to identify the cause.

If only one app has a problem, first check whether other apps work, then see if that app needs its own proxy settings. If only one server has a problem, compare it with another server that meets the target region’s requirements. Web apps, APIs, and developer tools can have different network requirements. For these scenarios, see the AI access guide. This page covers basic connection testing, not advanced settings.

If you still cannot identify the issue, look for connection and troubleshooting topics on the support page, or describe the problem in a dashboard ticket. Include your device platform, the step where the problem occurs, any message shown by the client, and the checks you have already tried. Hide your password, full subscription link, and personal account details in screenshots. This helps support focus on the actual issue instead of repeating the installation steps.
